Job Summary:
The Project Manager will have a strong technical background, proven project management skills, and the ability to drive successful project delivery from inception to completion. This role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of electrical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of HV/MV electrical projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Develop and implement project strategies, schedules, and risk management plans.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and contractual obligations to ensure financial performance.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving challenges efficiently.
- Report on project progress, KPIs, and deliverables to senior management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of project management experience within HV/MV electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and national electrical regulations.
- Experience in managing substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasts.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CEng, or equivalent).
- Experience in renewable energy, grid modernization, or smart grid projects.
- Familiarity with digital project management tools and reporting systems.
