Job Summary:
The Project Manager will have a strong technical background, proven project management skills, and the ability to drive successful project delivery from inception to completion. This role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of electrical infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of HV/MV electrical projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, schedules, and risk management plans.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and contractual obligations to ensure financial performance.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving challenges efficiently.
  • Report on project progress, KPIs, and deliverables to senior management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.


    Qualifications & Experience:
     
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of project management experience within HV/MV electrical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and national electrical regulations.
  • Experience in managing substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasts.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.

    Preferred Qualifications:
     
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CEng, or equivalent).
  • Experience in renewable energy, grid modernization, or smart grid projects.
  • Familiarity with digital project management tools and reporting systems.
